With the rumors surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers about Kevin Love being traded for Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks. A more recent NBA Ttade rumor that caught the attention of many fans claim that J.R. Smith could possibly leave his team and play for Minnesota Timberwolves, which is said to be offering a better pay.

J.R. Smith Wants A Bigger Contract Deal In Cleveland

One possible reason why J.R. Smith wants to leave is due to the possibility that Cleveland has only offered the veteran guard a meager amount for him to stay.  According to The Bitbag, J.R. Smith had already received the terms and conditions and rumor mills are saying that he was offered a $10 million contract should the Cavaliers guard decides to stay with the team. But, it seems like Smith is not contented with the offer as he is said to be looking for a better deal right now.

Also, the Cleveland Cavaliers has no plans to increase the amount being offered to Smith.Sources have claimed that Cleveland might have problems on its finances if it will consider to increase the deal with J.R. Smith. As of now, Dan Gilbert, owner of the Cavaliers, is trying his best to persuade Smith to take the offer and stay.

However, if J.R. Smith really wants to have bigger paycheck, he can consider taking the Minnesota Timberwolves offer. Rumor states that the Timberwolves has a $25.5 million in their disposal, which is enough to trade Smith and convince him to play for their team in the next season.
