“Pokemon Go” is expected to come out this month with new features and updates but the effort may not be enough to lure back the players who have gone astray.
After that report from Bloomberg revealed a declining player count, Niantic Labs is expected to try and fill in “Pokemon Go” with new features. Among those expected include the Buddy system and an improved tracker, something that hasn’t really struck it big with the AR gamers.
Google Map getting into the craze
In what seems like an unlikely assist, folks using Google Maps may be in for a surprise with the new updates to the app. According to Reddit user GoldeLeader272, Google Maps will be adding a new feature called “Catching Pokemon”.
Hence, “Pokemon Go” players who are also using Google Maps may want to update their timeline activities. Simply head on over to the ‘your timeline’ and tap on the travel icon where you can edit catching Pokemon.
For those who are not aware of ‘timeline,’ this is a seldom used feature on Google Map. The feature allows users to get an overview of the places they visited where a step-by-step map will guide them in travels.
The pitch should be interesting for “Pokemon Go” players looking for necessary aid to get more pocket monsters. Neurogadget explains most of the steps for maximizing its use though it seemed to be focused more on the Android version of the augmented reality game.
Either way, the aid by Google Maps should be more than welcome as gamers try to find all the help they can get to level up and journey towards the elusive rares. This should be perfect considering the new patch coming this month. Among the new features include a Buddy system and reportedly better tracking plus more.
