NBA Latest Trade Rumors, News & Update 2016: Chris Bosh Could End In Toronto

The Chris Bosh drama continues with no word yet on whether the all-star center/forward will be allowed to suit up next season. But assuming he does, where exactly will he suit up?

The easy answer to that is the Miami Heat of course but what if Pat Riley is thinking long term? The team is obviously transitioning into a new breed of stars with Bosh the lone remnant of the franchise’s ‘big three’.

James left two years ago to return to Cleveland (Cavaliers) while Dwyane Wade opted to join the Chicago Bulls and get what is really (financially) due. Bosh could be given the green light to play but somehow his fate the last two years could be something worrying Riley and Heat management.

Blood Clot

Bosh’s blood clot issue is the real issue here, something that has hounded him the last two seasons. The 32-year-old did return with a bang last season but saw his season cut short (February) when the same problem cropped up.

Now, the Heat are taking the precautionary route despite the fact that Bosh is showing he is ready for yet another year of basketball. But like last year, it is what lies ahead that has forced the Heat to be cautious.

Going back home?

According to Real GM, there is a possible trade scenario which would see Bosh head back home to the Toronto Raptors. The deal would include upstarts like Jared Sullinger, Terence Ross, and Patrick Patterson.

The young trio could be part of the Miami’ build for the future but will the Raptors take a chance on Bosh? Aside from the fact that it could be a nostalgic return, up for debate is the fact of seeing the rising Raptors gambling on Bosh and his condition.

All that will depend on team president Masai Ujiri who has recently signed a contract extension, NBA.com reported. Will the Raptors bite this one?
