A couple of players from the Sacramento Kings and one often injured player from the Washington Wizards could account for a good NBA trade if their respective teams will pull the trigger. The players concerned include DeMarcus Cousins and Rudy Gay from the Kings and John Wall of the Washington Wizards. While Cousins and Gay are popular names swirling in the trade rumor mill, the mention of Wall may come a bit of a surprise.
Gay to the Rockets, Cousins to the Raptors
The Kings remain in a state of turmoil with two of their top players reportedly leaving soon. Cousins is no stranger to trade rumors, something that has hounded him since last year.
During the Summer of 2015, he was reportedly being eyed by the Los Angeles Lakers though nothing materialized. Come the NBA trade deadline, he was once again in the headlines but this time linked to the Boston Celtics.
Right now, nothing is certain though the Celtics have been often mentioned as of late. Gay is another Kings player highly expected to be traded soon, according to Basketball Insiders.
Gay has made it public that he is not happy with the Kings right now and a trade is something he prefers. The problem is that not many teams may have the necessary resources to snag him though the Kings are not asking much in return. The high profile forward is set to receive $13.3 million next season.
Wall Moving?
The Wizards have one of the best backcourts in the league today though much of that is not felt because Wall has been on-and-off sick bay. And the result of that is the fact that the Wizards are unable to advance to the playoffs with an erratic rotation.
A change could be forthcoming though Wall, when healthy, is a big fish that the Wizards would let go. There are several teams in search of a veteran point guard like the New York Knicks or maybe even teh Cleveland Cavaliers.
The only issue with Wall is his durability, something that could make teams think twice. But before that, will the Wizards easily give up their prized catch, regardless if he is injury-prone?
