Everyone is staying tight-lipped about the coming "American Horror Story" Season 6 official theme and concept. However, as everybody knows that secrets can't be kept forever, especially with this TV series, the official title of the show has allegedly been leaked!
Does 'American Horror Story: The Mist' Is Season 6' Official Title?
According to The Wrap, film review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes revealed on its "American Horror Story" Season 6 page the official title of the show -- "American Horror Story: The Mist." But the website quickly removed the title and put it back to just "American Horror Story." Although the issue made noise and is now surfacing online, creators of the web page and the TV series' network, FX, are keeping mum about it.
The show's creator Ryan Murphy has been very vocal to keep the theme and title of "American Horry Story" Season 6 in a mystery. In fact, he didn't even want to reveal even a single thing about it. In spite of AHS World's efforts to post a number of teasers, FX president John Landgarf revealed that most of it was only released to mislead the fans.
'American Horror Story' Season 6 Will Be Like Stephen King's 'The Mist?'
Moreover, to confirm the speculations, a Reddit user revealed that even TV Guide used the title "American Horror Story: The Mist" to list the TV show on its schedule. To recall, John Landgarf also explained that one of the many teasers they revealed carries the official theme of "American Horror Story" Season 6. And there's a trailer that has the very same title like the leaked ones.
Hence, Slash Film reported that "American Horror Story" Season 6 is very likely to feature something like Stephen King's "The Mist." Ryan Murphy will surely love the concept of the horror novella to be featured on his show. But as "The Mist" will be soon turned into a TV series, will it have a different theme compared to the renowned writer's work? "American Horror Story" Season 6 will return on Sept. 14 on FX.
