Torrent Websites are at present in the hot seat when it comes to being shut down. The same may not go for streaming sites, but the long-running online movie company may be headed towards the end of a cliff with the steps already commencing.
Many of today's generation know Torrent Websites as one of the most reliable ways to find downloadable movies, music, television series and the like. However, the household convenience promised by the company now comes with a price as it slowly falls towards oblivion.
According to First Post, many users were already informed of the repercussions that will befall them, even with the simplicity of viewing. The repercussions have further moved on with even the social media accounts slowly being deleted and the like.
As per ITech Post, ExtraTorrent, one of the popular Torrent Websites, was confirmed on having its Facebook page deleted. This is due to a certain alleged violation of copyrights, which extends all the way to the administrator's profiles.
The said omission of ExtraTorrent which is somewhat identical to the other Torrent Websites is a common case, but at the same time extraordinary due to the inclusion of the admin. One of the primary causes seen is the many complaints from the responsible copyright holders alike.
Despite being a recognizable name, Torrent Websites are known for multiple violation counts that cannot be denied by the involved parties. Nonetheless, the punishments bestowed upon them allows the more legal companies to step forward and generate sales, such as Hulu, Netflix and Amazon Instant Video.
As fun as it may once have been, Torrent Websites are still under the radar of those who own legal rights. There are still other alternatives apart from such related sites, but are still being looked upon by the authorities.
