PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Getting the Robot Chicken Treatment (Watch the Trailer Here!)

What goes on in the breakroom where a savage beatdown is just another day at the office? Robot Chicken has the answer, and it's coming tonight. Sneak peek below!

Videogame crossovers are crossing over with a tv show specializing in 80's nostalgia. It's official, hundreds of stoners' heads have just exploded, spilling bong water everywhere. On the plus side, Hungry Man dinners are now widely available for the rest of us.

Robot Chicken's co-creator and executive producer Matthew Senreich on the team up:

"When PlayStation asked us at Robot Chicken to literally "play" with their all-star line-up of characters, we were not about to say no. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale gave us an opportunity in the writers' room to have the geek discussions we all love to have. Who would destroy who in a fight to the death, or wherever they end up going after being defeated. To make this animated short, we got one of our Head Writers Douglas Goldstein and our super gamer writers Mike Fasolo and Rachel Bloom (check out her geek videos on YouTube) to create this fun off-hours scenario for all our favorite PlayStation characters. Then we got our super geek director/writer Zeb Wells (who y'all may know from his comic book writing history) to dive in and direct. Magic in a bottle."

With over 20 characters total, don't expect all of them to make an appearance (particularly PaRappa, 2D doesn't really lend itself to Robot Chicken's claymation style).

Out now, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has players take their pick from the numerous All-Stars in "smashing" their Sony "brothers" in a "brawling" "melee" free for all. Characters as well known as Heihachi from Tekken and Raiden from Metal Gear join older PlayStation characters like Sir Daniel from MediEvil and PaRappa of PaRappa the Rapper. In addition to offering a tournament mode, special event battles, and custom matches, there's also be a story mode that brings the crew all together.

Videogame parodies aren't a first for Robot Chicken. Their Final Fantasy VII parody is still considered a fan-favorite. Tune in to watch the complete Battle Royale parody on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim tonight, 10:00 PM EST.
