Fans may be concerned because of the lack of any gameplay footage for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" game. However, Electronic Arts' (EA) Patrick Soderlund has assured them that the game is very much on track.
EA has been extremely tight-lipped about its upcoming "Mass Effect: Andromeda" game title and now fresh rumors suggest a next generation reveal for PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio. Also, a "secret new IP" is causing everybody to twitch their brows.
EA, maker of "Mass Effect: Andromeda," is most-definitely upbeat about Sony and Microsoft's upcoming next generation console upgrades and EA executive Peter Moore confirmed this news stating that the upgrades extend console generations and they may bring a time when traditional hardware launches, such as in previous generations, would no longer be required, reported IGN.
"I think Sony and Microsoft have done this incredibly well," Peter Moore, who works for the Mass Effect: Andromeda" game developer, stated. "They have taken what they needed to do whether it's 4K ... to keep the platform fresh for technology that's moving faster than the archaic nature of a 10-year piece of hardware cycle."
He also assured that EA is currently working really hard for PlayStation 4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio. It is also focusing on two games, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" and a secret new IP, reported Gamepur. This may be enough reason to believe that both the games will be made available to PlayStation 4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio.
It was announced during E3 that Xbox One Scorpio won't be launched until Holiday next year. And, in case "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is released in this console, it may change the original Q1 2017 target window for the game.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" fans may finally see some gameplay footage in November. Soderland teased fans saying that he has played the first three hours of the game and it seemed very playable. He expressed surprise for the fact that EA is still not releasing any gameplay footage despite the game being absolutely playable.
Whether "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will be released on PS4 Neo, fans may expect some answers at the PlayStation event on Sept. 7 when the console is believed to be released. For now, enjoy the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" Official EA Play 2016 Video here.
