A November 2016 release date was previously set.
But, according to Tab Times, the company Apple will release the iPad Air 3 in a later date of March 2017 and it might be because the recent release of the iPad Pro 9.7-inch tablet. But, with the rumored new features, the wait might just be a bit worth it.
One step-up for the iPad Air 3 from its predecessor is the A10 chipset, which is expected to be better performing as an upgrade than the previous iPads with dated chipsets. Reports are also pretty certain the new iPad Air will carry an iOS 10 operating system and an enhanced user interface is to be expected with the new iOS. With regards to storage capacity, the iPad Air 3 will carry a 64 GB, a 128 GB and a 256 GB variants.
For the hardware department, a force-touch TrueTone display and a sleek aluminum chassis found in iPad Pro 9.7 are also speculated to be in the iPad Air 3. Another hardware feature which will probably be included in the line of speculated new features in iPad Air 3 is the stereo speakers which we first experienced in the iPad Pro.
If these features will a matter of fact be sported in the new iPad Air, hints for the pricing of the yet to be released iPad Air 3 are rounding up and it is stated in Mobile & Apps that the newest tablet would cost around $599. But, without the added force-touch TrueTone display feature, it might just be between $499 to $599.
