After almost a year, Freeform finally dropped the latest trailer for the much-awaited "Switched at Birth" Season 5. The final installment will bring a lot of twists and turns in the lives of Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) and Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano).
Daphne, Bay Welcome A Lot Of Surprises
Daphne and Bay will be treated with a number of surprises as they return from China in "Switched at Birth" Season 5. First, Toby (Lucas Grabeel) and Lily (Rachel Shenton) are about to get married, second, they are up to learning an ongoing rumor. The two protagonists' mother, Regina (Constance Marie), has a new younger boyfriend, named Luca (Michael Galante), as per TVLine.
Regina and Luca become an item and the much-talked-about couple in their neighborhood in "Switched at Birth" Season 5. Additionally, Daphne and Mingo (Adam Hagenbuch) will cause trouble as they anger their black classmates when they attend a party in Lil Wayne costumes. Also, there's this someone who doesn't want to see Bay back that makes her realized she should "never came home" in Kansas.

Evidently, "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will be more intense compared to its predecessors. Fans are expecting that they are about to witness a promising ending. However, there are still some questions that its viewers are looking to be answered.
As per Bustle, fans want to see Bay be acknowledged for her art talent by giving her her own art exhibit in "Switched at Birth" Season 5. They, too, wish to see Daphne be more matured and responsible as the TV series wraps up. In the case of Emmett (Sean Berdy), they fancy him to be friends with Bay and Daphne at the end of the show.
For the finale, "Switched at Birth" Season 5 may end with Toby and Lily displaying their responsible parenting and happy family. "Switched at Birth" Season 5 will have 10 episodes and will return on Jan. 24, 2017 on Freeform. Its very last episode will also be its honorary 100th episode and will run for 90 minutes.
