Fox recently dropped "Gotham" Season 3 official's promotional photo featuring Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and the coming villains. With its theme, "Heroes Will Fall," and a tagline, "Mad City," it definitely looks like the coming new installment will be a lot heavier.
The New Teaser Photo
The exclusive key art from The Hollywood Reporter showed Jim Gordon holding a crystal ball full of "Gotham" Season 3 antagonists. The orb contained Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith) and Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith), the future Riddler. The commissioner also has to face Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova), Barbara Kean (Erin Richards), Tabitha Galavan (Jessica Lucas) and Butch (Drew Powell).
The teaser photo of "Gotham" Season 3, too, revealed the recurring and more matured Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha). The female villain will be seen with a different body that will be the main storyline of the crime TV series.
Poison Ivy
In an interview with IGN, Maggie Geha revealed that her character won't really display any kind of super powers in "Gotham" Season 3. "I think that would be way further down the line especially since this is an origin story show," the 28-year-old star explained. Although fans know that Poison Ivy has a sexy role, the villain "doesn't really feel sexual about anybody."
The actress cleared that Poison Ivy only uses her "sexual appeal" to lure and manipulate anybody in "Gotham" Season 3. "I think if she notices this person is attracted to me, finds me appealing in a sexual way, I'm going to use that to my benefit," Maggi Geha added.
Additional Characters
In another IGN report, "Gotham" Season 3 will be graced by new additional characters, like Mad Hatter (Benedict Samuel) together with his younger sister, Alice Tetch (Naian Gonzalez Norvind). Kieran Mulcare, too, might be seen to take the role of Solomon Grundy. "Gotham" Season 3 will return on Sept. 19 on Fox.
