As suspicious as it sounds, it appears that "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" have a special connection to tie up the storyline. "Kingdom Hearts 3" fans patiently waited for E3 2016 to know and learn more about the much-awaited game but they were disappointed when "Kingdom Hearts 3" was never mentioned in E3 2016. Square Enix finally revealed the reason behind the absence of "Kingdom Hearts 3" at E3 2016.
Venture Beat reports that the reason why there is no update regarding "Kingdom Hearts 3" is because Square Enix is focusing on "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" since it's going to premiere soon. "We want what's best for the moment," "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" co-director Tai Yasue said. "We're currently making 3 and 2.8 at the same time, but we wanted to concentrate on 2.8 right now."

Even with the upcoming release of "Kingdom Hearts 2.8," the anticipation for "Kingdom Hearts 3" didn't stop. Now, it is realized that Square Enix wants the fans to enjoy "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" before conquering "Kingdom Hearts 3."
