The fan art only depicts what Bucky Barnes would look like if he becomes Captain America in "Avengers: Infinity War". It is still uncertain whether MCU will decide to go with this particular storyline since it could lead to tears for Chris Evans' fans.
POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD, PROCEED WITH CAUTION!
The thought of Bucky Barnes taking over for Steve Rogers might be a stretch for some fans. However, this has already happened in the comic books. Unfortunately, the Winter Soldier's possible promotion in "Avengers: Infinity War" could also mean the death of the original Captain America.
In the "Civil War" comic book storyline, Bucky Barnes is asked to become Captain America after Steve Rogers is allegedly assassinated by Crossbones and Sharon Carter. However, he eventually gave up the mantle after being tried for his crimes as the Winter Soldier. Will "Avengers: Infinity War" follow this particular storyline?
