Different rumors are doing rounds as to Apple's MacBook Air 2016. While some are saying that the company would discontinue its Air line altogether, some believe that the launch of the device has been canceled and shifted to 2017. But one thing's for sure, the tech giant is focusing a lot on its upcoming devices such as the iPhone 7, Apple Watch 2 and Macbook Pro 2016.
While there has been no information from Apple, dropping the line altogether seems logical at this point in time. Fans were left surprised when Apple did not make any announcement regarding MacBook Air 2016 at the company's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). Discontinuing the Air Ultrabooks will lower costs significantly for Apple.
It will also be able to focus more on its other signature brands and marketing efforts if they do so. Questions are being raised on the requirement of the Apple MacBook Air 2016 as the iPad Pro and MacBook Pro 2016 will have all the features and perhaps more than what Air devices may offer.
In case the company decides to retain the Air series and launch the Apple MacBook Air 2016, it may be ultra-portable and may also feature the Retina display. Its RAM capacity would also be significantly more than previous versions. The next-gen Kaby Lake processors are also a possibility, reported Android Origin.
Previous reports also revealed that the Apple MacBook Air 2016 would feature a Force Touch trackpad with Touch ID integration as fingerprint scanners. The fingerprint technology would have been a major draw for the young crowd if implemented. It could even boost up Apple's sales.
If released next year, the Apple MacBook Air 2017 may also include an Apple Pencil that would be compatible with the trackpads. In the meantime, rumors suggest that Apple's MacBook Pro 2016 would be sleeker than its earlier version. Stay tuned to GamenGuide for more MacBook Air 2016 news and updates!
