"Pokemon Go" can be recalled on banning some players that were caught cheating the game's mechanics in the past. However, Niantic decided that not all players caught in the crossfire deserve the backlash.
As there are players out in public that were legitimately affected by the worldwide ban of "Pokemon Go," Niantic turned the notch down a little bit as it announced the reverting of these decisions. However, only those who felt the ban by accident are permitted to be reinstated, and any future doing that is proven guilty will still be given the consequences.
According to Game Spot, Niantic mentioned that players who inadvertently downloaded an illegal apps are excused from the lifetime ban. For those not aware, some third-party apps made for "Pokemon Go" were made to help players track Pokemon as they please.
In reality, a number of players were unaware of the other effects brought about by the add-on map apps made for "Pokemon Go." An update posted on the "Pokemon Go" website stated that some of these aforementioned apps produce an identical effect to the servers as that of DDoS, thus resulting in the mass banning of players.
To be more specific, "Pokemon Go" users that purposely use the apps to scrape data and play the game while in idle are still not exempted from the uplift of bans. Players who aim to capture Pokemon effortlessly, as well as extracting PokeStop resources are still put under the lifetime ban that Niantic gave.
"Pokemon Go" has dropped significantly in terms of users all across the world within the duration of the past month. One of the probable reasons as to why this occurred is due to the actions taken by Niantic to penalize the violators of their game, as Niantic dropped a statement wherein they claim that clean, fair fun is all they want for the players.
