In an interview with Pop Sugar, Taylor Schilling talked about her character's fate in "Orange Is The New Black" season 5. Schilling admitted that it's going to be a tough season for Piper. She explained that Piper will focus on surviving, neglecting herself in the process.
This will be apparent in Piper's appearance in "Orange Is The New Black" season 5. Compared to previous seasons, Piper's hair will be pulled back next season. This is a clear indication that she doesn't care how she looks anymore.

Piper Conflicts With Other Inmates
Previews of "Orange Is The New Black" season 5 show Piper getting her hand hammered. The actress denied this and seems to hint other things happening at that particular scene. She also made a noncommittal answer when asked if Piper made it out okay.
While Piper became successful with her underwear business in "Orange Is The New Black" season 5, she becomes manipulative later on. The team responsible for making the underwear will convince Piper to create a union. This movement will be led by Flaca, who Piper fires later on.
Piper also screwed Stella big time. To retaliate for emptying her profits from her underwear business, Piper planted some contraband in Stella's bunk. This resulted to Stella being transferred to maximum-security prison.
