Black Ops 2: Fixing Faulty DLC Codes

Yesterday, dozens of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 players were reporting issues with codes the game provided to allow players to download the DLC Nuketown maps on PlayStation 3 versions.

Activision support, "aware of connectivity issues that some players are facing" set to work on a resolution, and is now directing players to visit this weblink, and fill out THIS ONLINE FORM in order to receive a replacement code, allowing access to the map.

Treyarch first announced the Nuketown 2025 map as being available through pre-order of the special editions back in July. Translation, if you bought the "Hardened" or "Care Package" editions, you get the map. At least, that was the plan before this monkey wrench hit the works.

The map is a remake of one of the Call of Duty franchises most popular map, Nuketown, which first appeared in Call of Duty: Black Ops. One of the smallest maps, it focused on close quarters combat, and was a bit claustrophobic. Despite the small adjustments to the new map, combat likely won't change too much in the "new" map.
Nuketown 2025 will also feature as a bonus map in Black Ops 2's zombie mode, which is great for any zombie fans who like the old '50's look. It promises to "deliver a heightened level of exciting game play, especially for all multiplayer fans."

Despite hiccups, Black Ops 2 has managed to set a wide array of launch records, including an estimated sell-through of over $500 million worldwide, a single retailer managing to sell over 1 million copies of the game, and becoming Amazon's most pre-ordered game in the company's history.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is out now for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, with a release to follow for Nintendo's Wii U.
