There were immediately speculations that "Thor: Ragnarok" has decided to recast Lady Sif. Some believe that Jaimie Alexander might be too busy working on "Blindspot" Season 2 to reprise the role. However, there are also rumors that the unnamed actress will be playing a new character from Asgard.

There are rumors that the mystery character is actually Gaea. In the comic books, Gaea sometimes takes on the form of a dark-haired young woman on Earth. In "Thor: Ragnarok", it is possible that she is keeping her eye on Anthony Hopkins' Odin, who lost his powers and memory and is currently a bum.
"Thor: Ragnarok" is directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. The film is scheduled to premiere on November 3, 2017.
