Apple recently released the iOS 9.3.5 update and iPhone users are eagerly waiting for the iOS 10 jailbreak tool. The iOS 9.3.5 update came just a month after the iOS 9.3.4 release. It has been reported that Chinese hacking team Pangu will release the iOS 10 jailbreak as early as October 2016.
It is also possible that the iOS 10 jailbreak will be released a month following the expected official iOS 10 rollout. It will power the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. However, the latest iOS update has reportedly rendered the latest jailbreaking tool, iOS 9.2-9.3.3, useless.
According to MacRumors, the iOS 9.3.5 is available in all devices running iOS 9 via an over-the-air update. The tech giant fixed critical vulnerabilities in the recent iOS 9.3.5 update, which is also the last update for iOS 9.
It introduced performance optimizations, security improvements and final bug fixes before iOS 9 retires in favor of iOS 10. It is advisable to download and install the firmware without delay as iOS 9.3.5 is now bundled with three "zero-day exploits" fixes.
Lookout and Citizen Lab discovered the three security exploits and they revealed that a spyware, known as Pegasus, belonging to private Israeli firm NSO Group, was behind the exploit. The exploit was discovered on Aug. 11 when Ahmed Mansoor, human rights defender, received a suspicious link and sent it to Citizen Lab and Lookout.
Pegasus had the ability to jailbreak an iPhone with the help of a link sent via text message. Anybody clicking the link would become a victim as it would jailbreak his iPhone installing a malware. The hacker would then gain access to the iPhone user's emails, messages and calls to name a few, reported The New York Times.
Pegasus uses a strong encryption to stay undetected. It is used by numerous organizations to gain information on high-value targets. The moment Apple was informed about this critical exploit, the iPhone user fixed the issue via the iOS 9.3.5 update.
Pangu is working relentlessly to make iOS 10 jailbreak tool available as soon as possible. Gamenguide will keep you posted on iOS 10 and iOS 10 jailbreak tool.
