"Iron Man 4" has been surrounded by a lot of rumors and fans are patiently waiting for confirmed news. According to reports, Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr., is about to leave his iconic suit that would be inherited by a woman.
A Female Iron Man, Named 'Ironheart'
If "Iron Man 4" is going to follow the Marvel Comic story, a new character is set to don the legendary red armor. It was recently revealed that a 15-year-old genius named Riri Williams is about to take the role of a new Iron Man. In fact, at an early age, she already managed to build her own suit in her dorm room.
With that, Tony Starks himself will be impressed with Riri Williams' undeniable talent that he quickly asked her to join the Stark industries. It has been said that the philanthropist is now looking for the special one who has the skills to replace him as "Iron Man." In a recent interview, the comic book writer Brian Michael Bendis told WIRED that this new character will be named "Ironheart."
The 49-year-old former artist explained that Joe Quesada, a comic book editor, invented the name "Ironheart" after he told him his plans about Riri Williams. Brian Michael Bendis even added that the young girl will not only be a "soul of the character," but the whole "Iron Man" franchise as well. "Tony first put on the armor to save his heart. Riri puts it on for different reasons altogether but still heart-related," he said.
