Niantic had made some changes with the pokemons' moves in "Pokemon Go." Players have mixed reactions on the latest update recently rolled out by the game company, especially with the fact that it has affected the player's strategies in playing the game.
However, the new moves the developers added in "Pokemon Go" are only applicable to the new pokemons that the players will catch after the update has been released. Thus, the creatures the players have in their pokedex right now will not be affected in the change.
Many pokemons have been affected with latest "Pokemon Go" update. Some of the creatures' moves have been replaced or removed entirely. For example, Weezing and Koffing have lost Acid, Gyarados has lost the Dragon Breath ability and Mew will no longer be able to do the Moonblast.
Other pokemons like Porygon, Staryu and Starmie have also been affected by the latest "Pokemon Go" update. On the other hand, pokemons like Dugtrio, Golem, Diglet, and Graveler's Mud Shot move will be replaced with Mud Slap.
Meanwhile, players of "Pokemon Go" express their mixed reactions via their Reddit accounts regarding the changes. Players stated that the new changes will greatly affect the fighting style players use when conquering pokegyms in "Pokemon Go." Also, others stated that the old pokemons will have additional trade value when trading will come to show very soon.
Until now, Niantic has remained silent on the comments of the "Pokemon Go" players who were affected by the sudden changes. Other sources have claimed that the game developer itself did not intentionally make the changes but these speculations remain a rumor until now.
Meanwhile, it is safe to say now that "Pokemon Go" players who will be able to catch several Pokemons after the newwest update has been launched will definitely have an advantage in the game. Those who only have a few pokemon inside their pokedex, on the other hand, will surely have a hard time competing with other players.
