This time, the latest round of "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date speculation was prompted by an email response made by online retailer Amazon. Apparently, a "Final Fantasy" gamer preordered the game through the online retailer giant, which prompted the response.
The gamer's preorder might just have confirmed the upcoming "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date, or at least, an estimate of its launch. According to Amazon's response, the game's publisher (Square Enix) has changed the release date of the video game being ordered.
MajorBlaze1, the reddit user who made the pre-order, also posted Amazon's response in connection with his Final Fantasy order. Should Amazon's estimate prove to be correct, gamers may now expect a "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date on Dec. 29, 2017.
MajorBlaze1 specifically ordered a "Final Fantasy 7" remake PlayStation 4 version. As such, the estimated arrival date given by Amazon is only for the PS4 version of the game.
As for the Xbox One "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date, speculations for now points to a slightly later release compared to its PlayStation 4 counterpart. For instance, The Bit Bag predicts that the Xbox One version could launch the year after its PS4 release or by 2018.
The latest confirmation from Amazon just proves that previous estimates were a bit too optimistic. There were reports that the "Final Fantasy 7" remake release date could happen this year, an estimate that not too many fans agree as it was generally considered to be too soon.
But, of course, everything is not yet set in stone.
