True, it's no surprise, as we knew it was coming, but it's still pretty cool when one of the most anticipated games of a legendary franchise graces the cover of one of the most widely read and circulated magazines on the planet.
Now, if rumors are to be believed, this issue of Game Informer will reveal that players will play as two characters, the older Albert DeSilva, and the younger Dougie Vejo. So if they're on the cover, who is the third man? Perhaps another playable character? A third playable character would be a first in the franchise's history. But to play the role of the cynic, maybe none of them are on the cover, and these are just some random NPCs.
Also rumored to be in the new issue...
* Los Santos is the only large city, smaller towns round out the countryside
* The return of Grove Street, but without Carl and Sweet
* The ability to purchase property is back
* Limited character customization - car, clothes, hair, facial hair, but no gyms or tattoos
* One or more characters from Grand Auto Theft 4 may show up
* The triumphant return of Lovefist!!! or as the band is now known as the Jezzies.
* Songs confirmed so far: My Michelle by Guns and Roses, Magic Power by Triumph, California Dreaming by The Beach Boys, and Beautiful by Snoop Dogg featuring Pharrell.
* New mini games include golf, tennis and surfing
Readers and players will get to find what else is planned for the game soon enough. The digital edition of Game Informer will be up soon, and subscribers for the physical magazine will have a copy in their hands within two weeks.
Grand Theft Auto V is available for pre-order now, and is expected to release spring of next year on PS3 and XBox 360. A PC release has not yet been mentioned.
