Fans had high hope for Square Enix to provide just a tiny bit of information about "Kingdom Hearts 3" at E3 2016 but the developer remained tight-lip about the highly anticipated game.
Now, Square Enix revealed that the reason why they didn't give any update regarding "Kingdom hearts 3" is because they want the fans to focus in "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" Final Chapter Prologue first before conquering "Kingdom Hearts 3."
"We want to share as much as possible," "Kingdom Hearts 3" and "Kingdom Hearts 2.8" co-director Tai Yasue said. "We're excited about Kingdom Hearts 3. But 2.8 we're releasing globally at the beginning of December. We wanted to concentrate on that first. We want what's best for the moment. We're currently making 3 and 2.8 at the same time, but we wanted to concentrate on 2.8 right now."
It feels like the fans have been waiting forever for the release of "Kingdom Hearts 3." The delay was supposed to may way for the "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" and to add hype to "Kingdom Hearts 3," but did the plan of Square Enix backfire this time?
It appears that even though "Kingdom Hearts 3" is a much-awaited game, the delay may have been too much for the fans that they lost interest in "Kingdom Hearts 3."
Shockingly, the much-hyped "Kingdom Hearts 3" has never reached the Top 5 in the Famitsu Charts for months now.
