Halo 4 FLAG Tournament Set To Begin Later This Month, Help Master Chief Fight Breast Cancer

The Fight Like A Girl Tournament (FLAG) is coming to Halo 4 for its seventh annual tournament to benefit breast cancer research. The FLAG tournament will be held on Xbox LIVE in Halo 4 from Nov. 16-18, according to a blog post on Halo Waypoint.

The tournament began back in 2006 and was organized Kari Toyama and Tasha Pettengill. The tournaments has been played using Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo: Reach. According to the tournaments official site, it has raised over $22,000 for breast and cervical cancer research.

The organizers official mission statement reads: "Our mission is two-fold. Not only do we do this tournament to raise money and awareness for finding a cure to cancer, but also to show the public that gamers are kind and generous people, We would like to thank you for your generosity, love, and support over the years and ask that you please continue to share your stories with us, we love to be reminded why we do this every year. Let's finish this fight!"

Participate

Registration is now open at https://www.flagtournament.com. There is a $10 per person, per event entry donation. All donations are collected through Razoo and go towards the fight against breast cancer.

• $20 per team for 2v2

• $40 per team for Grifball

• $10 per person for Creative Bundle (donation allows entry in all creative categories)

Halo 4 is the beginning of a new trilogy in the Halo series of games, named the "Reclaimer Trilogy," and is the first game in the main series to be developed by 343 Industries. Master Chief will return as the main protagonist, and the AI Cortana returns as well. Halo 4 is now available worldwide with the exclusion of Japan where the game will be released on Thursday Nov. 8.

The first official Halo 4 launch trailer was produced by "Fight Club" and "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo," director David Fincher and was directed by visual effects craftsman Tim Miller.
