“Pokemon Go” players continue to find ways to advance for as long as it does not violate Niantic’s terms of service. GPS spoofing is out of the question so the options could be limited.
iOS users have been left behind a bit compared to the Android version of “Pokemon Go” but an app called “Poke++” could be of some help. The only catch is that it will require gamers to jailbreak their Apple devices for it to work.
Would you jailbreak to advance in “Pokemon Go”?
“Poke++” is essentially a workaround the GPS spoofing tactic that Niantic is cracking down on. On both counts, this and applying a jailbreak is risky so the best advice is to use a dummy account unless gamers could care less.
Assuming that iPhone owners already know to jailbreak their devices, downloading the actual app through Cydia would be next. Once fully installed, all “Pokemon Go” players need to do is to launch the “Poke++” application.
The first thing that users will notice is a joystick located at the bottom right corner. This allows “Pokemon Go” players to move their avatar from one point to the next, the speed of which can also be tweaked.
If players find that too much, they can always resort to the “Patrol” option. This feature allows the character to move around on his own and user intervention is only needed when he comes across a Pokemon.
While “Poke++” is a new app that “Pokemon Go” players can try, don’t count out Niantic just yet. The developer is still ironing out tweaks and addressing the exploits one by one. It may not be a big deal for now but like prior third party apps, this could be eventually pinned down and addressed.
Once done, players will be on the losing end since bans may not exactly be mere ‘soft’ ones. Hence, proceed at your own risk!
