A compilation box set of every console game in the Assassin's Creed series is on its way, according to a new listing on Amazon France via a report by IGN.
The advertisements tagline reads: " Experience the entire Assassin's Creed Saga, More than 100 hours of gameplay in one complete pack!"
According to the IGN report, "The Assassin's Creed Anthology Edition is slated to include Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed II, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Assassin's Creed: Revelations and the just-released Assassin's Creed III."
According to the listing, the new compilation will include all of the singleplayer and multiplayer bonus DLC created for the games including the multiplayer map packs, assassin's Creed II's missing chapters, Brotherhood's Leonardo Da Vinci add-on and Revelations' Animus puzzle stages. IGN also reports that the Assassin's Creed III Season Pass will also be part of the package, which will include the already announced Tyrant King George Washington add on content.
The image states that the collection pack will include "all Assassin's Creed games ever released on Xbox 360." There is no mention of any other gaming platforms in the advertisement. IGN questions whether the new collection will be a Microsoft exclusive.
IGN attempted to contact Ubisoft for a statement, "but was told the company wasn't ready to comment on the leak." Although the collection has not been confirmed by Ubisoft, IGN points out that "Amazon France has previously proved reliable in outing both Call of Duty: Black Ops II and also the Killzone Trilogy bundle," and that "it's a safe bet that this package is also legit."
Update: IGN has updated its recent story and now says that Ubisoft has confirmed the bundle but has yet to comment on platform, pricing and release date. It also looks like the game pack in not coming to the U.S. read more here.
Assassin's Creed III officially released on Oct. 30 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game releases for the PC on Nov. 20, while a Wii U version will be available at the consoles launch on Nov. 18.
