Grand Theft Auto 5 Now Available for Pre-Order

According to Rockstar:

Starting today, Grand Theft Auto V is officially available for pre-order everywhere. For those of you that might prefer online retail to the more traditional brick and mortar, we've included a list of links to some popular retailers below (we'll add additional international retail links here as they become available).

We're also making available the newest official artwork from the game that was featured in last week's announcement. Grab "Beach Weather" from the Rockstar Downloads page and look for much, much more to be revealed - including the Game Informer cover story later this week as well as an update on the release of the next official trailer.

US RETAILERS

Rockstar Warehouse: Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3 (pre-orders will be available later this afternoon)
GameStop: Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3
Amazon.com: Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3
Best Buy: Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3
Walmart: Xbox 360 | PlayStation 3

So there you have it folks. Pick up the phone, click the mouse, do whatever your preference is, but be quick about it, as the time is now to place your orders for what will no doubt be a monster game.

According to a GameFaqs user claiming early access to the December issue of Game Informer, gamers will return to the streets of Los Santos to play as two characters. The older Albert DeSilva, and the younger up and coming criminal, Dougie Vejo. If the user's information is accurate, there will also be some customization available for both characters and cars, though it won't be quite as involved as San Andreas (no tattoos, no gym time). You can read more about the alleged details here.

Grand Theft Auto V is expected to release spring of next year on PS3 and XBox 360. A PC release has not yet been mentioned.
