You're not just building houses anymore...
Forget vampires and pithy gargoyles, Dragonborn will see players will go up against a dragon priest who ruled over the island of Solstheim, an island east of Skyrim. But he's more than just that. Evidently, he's the first dragonborn, hence the title. Given that, I wouldn't be surprised if new shouts will be available, and like Dawnguard, new weapons, enemies, armor, spells, and possibly, even more. And likely, a shiney new dragon priest mask for those capable of putting the priest down once and for all.
Of course, this is all speculation, as Bethesda hasn't yet revealed anything officially.
If the trailer is any indication, this new DLC is shaping up to be one of the most epic packages for the title yet, and a major fus-ro-dah showdown is no doubt in the cards.
Players who have followed the Elder Scrolls series should remember the island of Solstheim as the backdrop of the Bloodmoon expansion for Elder Scrolls 3. Formerly under Nord control, it was eventually given to the Dark Elves. Whether they maintain any kind of presence in Dragonborn remains to be seen.
Dragonborn will be available for download on Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft Points on Dec. 4. Nothing has been announced yet for PC, and as the last 2 DLCs, Dawnguard and Hearthfire have yet to make an appearance on PS3, Sony fans unfortunately shouldn't expect anything anytime soon.
More to be posted as additional information becomes available.
