'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Release Date & Latest News: 'Sun and Moon' Producer Shuts Off Comments On Blog After Getting Flooded With 'Pokemon Go' Questions

Game Freak, the Tokyo-based creator of "Pokemon Sun and Moon," recently shut down comments on its blog after being overwhelmed with questions about the popular mobile game "Pokemon Go," which was made by California-based Niantic Labs. Obviously, Junichi Masuda, co-founder of Game Freak and "Pokemon Sun and Moon," cannot provide answers or solutions to queries related to "Pokemon Go."

Masuda posted on his official blog that he actually collaborated on a number of aspects on "Pokemon Go," such as its game design and music, among other things. However, he explained that he cannot communicate with "Pokemon Go" fans by providing player support.

His focus at the moment is on "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and he can give answers to questions related to that game. Masuda stated that after discussing with several individuals, he is temporarily shutting down the comments section of the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" blog, since it was being tied to "Pokemon Go."

Kotaku cited how Masuda advised "Pokemon Go" players to visit the websites that Niantic is monitoring to get support information, since the company is the administrator and developer of the AR game. The "Pokemon Sun and Moon" developer even attached the help site, support site, FAQ and safety guidelines for "Pokemon Go" to fully aid lost gamers.

AlwaysNintendo revealed that Masuda is currently the producer of the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Shigeru Ohmoro is serving as director. At GamesCom 2016, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will feature livestreams and gameplay clips to give players more ideas about the plot, characters and new Pokemon.

Previously, teasers were shown to introduce new Pokemon, particularly the Alolan forms, which also come with new types and abilities. One video showed the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" creatures Wishiwashi in Solo and School Form, Pyukumuku, Morelull, the Alola form of Raichu, the Alolan form of Marowak and the Alolan form of Meowth. Some members of the new enemy team, called Team Skull, were also showcased in the "Pokemon Sun and Moon" video.

"Pokemon Sun and Moon" is set to release on Nov. 18, 2016 on Nintendo 3DS. More updates and details are expected soon.
