Rockstar confirms that due to Hurricane Sandy, the company lost power at its New York City office and delayed the release of the second Grand Theft Auto V trailer.
"We are working on a second trailer - unfortunately Hurricane Sandy has derailed our plans somewhat but we will have something to show soon. It's hard to be precise as we have no power whatsoever in our New York office. We hope everyone else in affected areas is doing okay," Rockstar posted on its newswire.
Rockstar also announced that preorders for the upcoming open world video game will begin on Nov. 5 and that select retailers will be offering a double sided poster for a limit time while supplies last. There will also be downloadable desktop versions of the brand new artwork above coming very soon, according to the company.
Rockstar confirmed that the game would be releasing worldwide in the spring of 2013 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Rockstar said, that the game was "developed by series creator Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto V takes place in a re-imagined, present-day Southern California in the largest and most thriving game-world we have ever created set in the sprawling city of Los Santos and for miles beyond - from the tops of the mountains to the depths of the ocean."
According to a report on IGN, early pre-order customers of Grand Theft Auto V will received a free photo viewer keychains showing off the sights of Los Santos. IGN says, that there are several photos circulating online that have revealed at least four different keychains from retailers like GameStop, Target and Future Shop. Each retailer's keychain will show off a location from Grand Theft Auto V.
