‘Rick and Morty’ Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers, News & Update: Harmon Meeting Vin Diesel For Dream Voiceover? Teased With Mini-Episode

Adult Swim's American animated science fiction sitcom "Rick and Morty" has released a mini-episode giving its fans a quick yet delightful look at the series' third installment. Show creator Justin Roiland, who also provides the voice-overs for both the characters, said that he improvised some of the scenes in the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 mini-episode, titled "Summer's Future."

The four-minute video shows Ryan Ridley, Justin Roiland, Dan Harmon and Spencer Grammer sitting side by side and Harmon presenting the intro of the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 teaser. The episode kicks off with Rick working in his garage while Summer discussing her future plans and college applications.

The showrunners tease "Rick and Morty" Season 3 storyline via Summer who discusses her career options and Rick injects Morty with 120cc of feces in his knees. Rick's research turns out to be a success and Summer is awarded a full scholarship by Harvard's Dean of Admissions.

According to Geek, Season 2 DVD will feature Roiland and Harmon's behind-the-scenes commentaries where they will also talk about "Rick and Morty" Season 3 and what fans may expect to see. According to International Business Times, the featurette may provide details about Beth and Jerry's divorce. It has also been revealed that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 won't air this August but end of 2016.

"I watched the thumbnail animation of Episode 304 and I was ready to move forward with it and Ryan said 'we're not satisfied with it' and we were already behind schedule. [The animators] have to bear the brunt of the schedule, they have to work weekends. They are the ones that wanted to do it," Harmon said at the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 during the "Rick and Morty" Season 3 panel, as reported by Cinema Blend.

While Harmon has confidently proclaimed that "Rick and Morty" Season 3 will be "the most epic so far," he is particularly keen on having Vin Diesel on board as his dream voiceover guest. He expressed his intererest in meeting "The Fast and the Furious" actor and having a conversation with him regarding the show.
