"Scream" Season 3 is going on air next year. Well, that is how fans of the MTV thriller wants it to be but producers of the show did not release any official statement as of the moment. Although there are no talks about the show's renewal, there is no press release about its cancellation either.
On May this year, "Scream" Season 2 was released on MTV with a new time slot from the Season 1. Were the ratings too low to make the producers still undecided to make a "Scream" Season 3? Perhaps, but reports say that if the Netflix audience was to be counted, the horror film could get a higher score and a better chance for renewal.
"Scream" Season 3 release date could be on May or June 2017 if the show gets thumbs up from MTV management for its renewal. It would be thrilling to see Emma Duval portrayed by Willa Fitzgerald and Audrey Jensen by Bex Taylor-Klausface the killer on the third season. We hope they can get out alive, but we will never know the twists in the story.
"Scream" Season 3 might just be the right time to reveal the face of the executioner. But wait, it could also introduce another set of killers to give the audience something to watch out for. Who could it be? In the last episode, Kier's lawyer called him in jail. The voice of Brandon James was heard asking Kier if he has the permission to wear his mask.
"Scream" is a story based on Kevin Williamson's creativity in 1996 and the possibilities are endless for "Scream" Season 3 that fans are clamoring for renewal even with a 45% drop in the rating from Season 1 to Season 2. But with the petition going around, MTV might just take the hint and go for another thrilling set of episodes of "Scream."
