The Warriors have not made the post season since 2007 and last year they were pretty bad with a 23-43 record. This season the Warrior's biggest addition will be Jarret Jack, who averaged 15.6 point and 6.3 assist for the New Orleans Hornets last season.
He will provide the Warriors with scoring off of the bench and is versatile enough to play both guard positions and can be a great distributor. Gone this season are players, Dorell Wright, Kwame Brown, Nate Robinson, Mickell Gladness and Ishmael Smith. But those subtractions shouldn't hurt the team.
Another ket to this season is Andrew Bogut, who came to the club last season in the trade that sent Monta Ellis out of town. Bogut was unable to play for the Warriors last season due to injury, but should provide Golden State with size on the inside.
But the success of this team may truly rest on the shoulders of guard Stephen Curry, who has shown flashes of being a star in the past. Coach Mark Jackson should get more out of the young player this season if Curry stays healthy.
According to NBA 2K13, the Warrior will not only make the playoffs, but also will shock the San Antonio Spurs in the first round and steal game one against the Lakers before losing four straight to Los Angeles. Curry will have one of his best seasons and will average 18.4 points, 7.6 assist and 2 steals per game. He will also make his first All-Star appearance.
