Gamers who love Bungie's "Destiny" will surely enjoy the studio's newest offering, "Destiny: The Collection," which arrives this September 20. The compilation is basically all the expansion packs Bungie has released so far, including "The Dark Below," "House of Wolves," "The Taken King," and the upcoming "Rise of Iron," which also arrives on September 20.
According to IGN, "Destiny: The Collection" will be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with a price tag of $59.99 for pre-order on Amazon. Those who pre-purchase the compilation will be able to immediately access "Destiny," "The Dark Below," "House of Wolves," and "The Taken King." Those who pre-order will also be given the black and silver Iron Gjallarhorn as a gift. Certain digital or physical retail pre-orders will also include the Iron Gjallarwing Sparrow.
Gamerant reports that "Destiny: The Collection" will also include an upgrade path for players who still use PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, which Bungie calls "Legacy Consoles." Players who already have "Destiny," "The Dark Below," "House of Wolves," and "The Taken King" on current-gen consoles will be able to transfer their account and upgrade the game for just $40. However, this offer will only run until until January 17, 2017. Such Legacy Console accounts will be split from current-gen accounts beginning August 16.
In addition to the previously released DLC for "Destiny," those who purchase "Destiny: The Collection" will also get their hands on a Level 40 Character boost that instantly takes one Guardian up to the level cap. Meanwhile, fans are encouraged to keep an eye out on this year's Gamescom, as Bungie will be showcasing new features in the game's competitive multiplayer suite during the event.
