Stephen Lang Talks About 'Avatar' 2
Fans may see a casting rearrangement in "Avatar" 2 according to Vine Report. James Cameron shared that the resurrection of Stephen Lang's character was unexpected but it will happen. From Sam Worthington's Jake and Zoe Saldana's Neytiri, the focus will now be shifted to Stephen Lang's Miles Quaritch.
According to Lang, the resurrection of his character has been discussed for some time now. However, with the success of the first "Avatar," it has slipped his mind. Now, he is planning to focus on "Avatar" 2 instead of "Deadpool" 2.
Stephen Lang played the role of Colonel Quaritch in 2009's blockbuster hit. In an interview with CinemaBlend, Lang shared that award-winning scriptwriter and film director James Cameron has hinted about his character resurrection for "Avatar" 2. However, he did not take it seriously.

Dr. Grace Augustine Comes Back
Meanwhile, another character will return for "Avatar" 2. Sigourney Weaver will be returning for the sequel as Dr. Grace Augustine. Some speculations say that she will be the next villain in "Avatar" 2.
The "Avatar" series is initially set for two more sequels but filmmaker James Cameron has expanded the story beyond a trilogy. In turn, the sequels met various setbacks including delays and rescheduling. Currently, the team is planning to make four more sequels.
"Avatar" 2 is slated to hit the theaters on December 2018 if there are no further rescheduling. The succeeding sequels are scheduled in December 2020, 2022 and 2023.
