However, there are swirling rumors that there will be a visible change in Benedict Cumberbatch's role that might surprise everyone that might be a sign of a darker BBC drama this time.
Danger Coming In Sherlock Holmes & Dr. Watson's Way
Game & Guide recently reported that "Sherlock" Season 4 will be quite different compared to its previous season. This time, the troubles Sherlock Holmes are about to face will be a lot more dangerous so, it has been said that he makes himself prepared by upgrading his armor. The famous detective along with his sidekick Dr. John Watson are about to stand in front of different challenges that might take its toll on them.
According to reports, "Sherlock" Season 4 will be darker and more powerful than its predecessors. In fact, at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, Benedict Cumberbatch teased the coming of the crime TV series based on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's detective stories will be "myopically dark." The 40-year-old star even made fun of the show when he described the new installment as "the end of the universe darkness can wait" that fans should really see.

Aside from a darker theme "Sherlock" Season 4 has, Vine Report cited that fans are also about to see a major character living on a "borrowed time." The showrunner Steven Moffat recently revealed to Collider that "terror and tragedy" are about to come on Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson's way. After the production ended on Aug. 5, the 54-year-old television writer-producer shared a snap of the wrapped up filming with a piece of paper bearing the name of Sherlock Holmes, his address 221 B Baker Street and multi-tool knife.
"The Game is over... for now," Steven Moffat captioned the picture. But, this photo makes fans worry about the fate of Sherlock Holmes in "Sherlock" Season 4. Some of his followers react telling him that he should say what happened to their favorite detective. Well, it looks like they should wait until 2017 to watch the coming of "Sherlock" Season 4 on BBC.
