With the rumored release or debut of "Red Dead Redemption" 2 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo last June in Los Angeles never came to fruition. The 2010 massive hit is now reportedly planned by Rockstar Games to make its much awaited appearance in Gamescom 2016
Why "Red Dead Redemption 2's" debut was cancelled in the first place?
We have reported in the past month in Game & Guide that the said trailer of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in E3 seems to have a coincidental resemblance to the tragic shooting in Orlando. Which developers from Sony was quick to deny such allegations that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was even part of their E3 2016 presentation.
Right there and then it looks like Rockstar Games and Sony is not feeling any urgency to launch "Red Dead Redemption 2." With "Grand Theft Auto 5" still on full swing and banking with how much of a hit the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise is.
We can't blame Rockstar Games for putting "Grand Theft Auto 5" as its top priority over "Red Dead Redemption 2." Also, the new "Grand Theft Auto 5" Redux mod is rumored to be richer and more beautiful in the overall graphics department since the start of "Grand Theft Auto 5" as stated by VG24/7.
"Red Dead Redemption's undeniable fanbase.
It's not a secret of how well "Red Dead Redemption" performed on the sale of its Xbox Backwards Compatibility edition. "Red Dead Redemption" was previously ranked at 1093 but after the announcement, it jumped up to the 17th spot which is a big leap, garnering up to 6329% in sales increase.
"Red Dead Redemption: Game of The Year" also had a great week grabbing the 36th spot by previously being ranked at the 712th spot. That is also a big 1877% increase. So from the looks of things, this coming Gamescom 2016 might just be the day "Red Dead Redemption" fans are waiting.
