‘Pokemon GO’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: Niantic Fires Warning Shots With Bot Shutdowns

Niantic has a long road ahead of them but are obviously making progress. After patching up the problems caused by third-party GPS spoofing apps last week, the “Pokemon Go” developer has now turned its attention to the ones using bots.

Like the GPS spoofing tactic, the “Pokemon Go” bot usage is another recourse that violates the terms of service of the company. Hence, players caught using bots could be in line for a permanent account ban if they are pinned down.

For those who went off and played “Pokemon Go” directly, it may be a good time for you to head on over to the FAQ page of Niantic and see if you have violated any (or several) on the list. But for the sensible players, using these bots and spoofing techniques are obviously cheats.

Stop using cheats as soon as possible

There is no word yet on how Niantic plans to pin down the cheaters. Regardless, it may be best for “Pokemon Go” gamers who have done or tried it to stop usin them immediatley.

Though just a game, “Pokemon Go” has overruled the lives of many. Some are so hooked that a permanent ban or termination of the account could be devastating. It is appealable but if you can avoid it, why not?

Accounts likely to be questioned

For now, “Pokemon Go” players whose characters are already in the high levels may want to worry a bit. In the normal course of play, Niantic is in the best position to determine if the level ups were done naturally or through some exploit

Aside from the stats, there is the ability of some players to locate the hard-to-find Pokemon characters. Though some regions have varying time-frames on when “Pokemon Go” started, reaching levels is something that can be easily spotted – particularly the ones who carry very high stats.
