The Droid Razr MAXX HD has released on the Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network in the United States and has brought a 3,300-mAh battery and a 4.7-inch 720p AMOLED display.
According to Motorola's official site the new smartphone can get up to 32 hours of mixed usage performance and " It can get you through a full Hollywood trilogy, 8 hours of Web browsing on Chrome for Android with 4G LTE1 speeds and up to 8 hours of voice-guided turn by turn GPS navigation."
The new phone ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and not Google's latest operating system, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Motorola says the phone will be upgradable to Jelly Bean in the future. The phone has an 8 MP camera, 1.3 MP P2P Video, with 8x Digital Zoom, Auto Focus and LED Flash.
Droid Razr MAXX HD has ports for HDMI and Micro-USB, a microSD card slot and LTE SIM cards. The phone ways 5.5-ounce and is heavier than other popular smartphones like the Galaxy S3, which weighs 4.7 ounces. The handset is pretty slender at 0.37 inch, but its slightly thicker than the Samsung's Galaxy S3's 0.34 inch body. The phone is encased in Corning Gorilla glass, DuPont KEVLAR fiber and a protective layer of water-repellent nanocoating.
The Maxx HD comes preloaded with SMARTACTIONS to help save battery life, Chrome for Android, YouTube, Google Talk, Maps, Quickoffice, NFL Mobile, Modern Combat 3 Demo and the Real Racing 2 Demo.
The phone's powerful screen and large size should make the device an excellent option for gamers looking to play a game on their cell. The phone is a little bit pricey at $299 with the standard two-year contract. You can pick one up on Verizon's mobile store.
