The prestigious event has been going on since August 8 at the Kay Arena at the Seattle Center and would be wrapping up today. At the moment, there are five teams who still have a shot at the top prizes of the 2016 International "DOTA 2" Championships. These are the Evil Genuises, Wings Gaming, Digital Chaos, MVP Phoenix and Fnatic, reports International Business Times.
The top teams will be battling today for the chance to bag the grand prize of more than $9 million dollars. The main match will be between the Evil Geniuses team against Wings Gaming. The Evil Geniuses team is the defending champions of the tournament.
The lower bracket will likewise have an exciting match between MVP Phoenix and Fnatic. The winner between the two would go on to face the Digital Chaos Team for a shot at the second spot for the 2016 Internation DOTA 2 Champtionships.
The team who wins the match between Digital Chaos and the still to be determined winner between MVP Phoenix and Fnatic will go on to face the loser of the Evil Geniuses and Wings Gaming match. The winner will then bag the second prize for the 2016 International DOTA 2 Championships.
The Internation DOTA 2 Championship is a prestigious annual event looked forward to by DOTA 2 enthusiasts around the world. It started back in 2011 and has been a consistently recurring annual event since then. This means that the 2016 International DOTA 2 Championship would be the sixth tournament and also has the biggest pool of prize pool, topping last year's $18 million by a wide margin.
