Halo 4 Forward Unto Dawn Release Date: Live-Action Halo Series' Third Episode Is Live (Watch Here)

Microsoft's "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn," is a new web series and will consist of five episodes leading up to the release of the Halo 4 video game.

The five web segments will then be collected, along with 15 minutes of additional footage and turned into a 90-minute feature film. The full-length movie will be released with the special edition of Halo 4. "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn's," cast includes Australian actor Tom Green as Tom Lasky. Daniel Cudmore, who played Colossus in the movie franchise "X-Men" will be donning the armor as Master Chief. British actress Anna Popplewell from the "Narnia," fantasy film franchise also has a role in the new series.

Here is episode three's official plot synopsis:

"Oni's secret is revealed, but the cadets' universe is changed forever by something much more deadly.

Sully's illicit intelligence video shows Hastati Squad that their world is even more complicated than they knew. Lasky's collapse at the end of his brilliant field maneuver turns into a pivotal choice for him, and just as he and Chyler realize what that choice might mean for their relationship, the academy is shaken by the first blow of a terrifying invasion."

Halo 4 is intended to be the first of a new trilogy of Halo series games, named the "Reclaimer Trilogy," and the first to be developed by 343 Industries. Master Chief will return as the main protagonist, and the AI Cortana returns as well.The new game releases worldwide on Nov. 6 with the exclusion of Japan where the game will be released on Nov. 8.
