The world is about to get bigger for Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes in "The Walking Dead" Season 7. But will Rick lose more than just a member of his group after their harrowing first encounter with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan)? Did the villain kill off his girlfriend Michonne (Danai Gurira)?
Fans have several theories about Negan's victim in "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale. It became obvious that anyone in the group was a likely candidate for a close encounter with Lucille. There are speculations that it might be Danai Gurira's Michonne because of several hints in the Comic-Con trailer for "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
'The Walking Dead' Season 7: Did Negan Kill Michonne? Comic-Con Trailer Has The Proof
Several theories have been spawned from the Comic-Con trailer of "The Walking Dead" Season 7. Game & Guide even reported that the new video teased on the possible introduction of the Whisperers. In addition to that, some fans believe there is a clue that Michonne became Negan's victim because she is absent in the footage showing Alexandria, Sanctuary or The Kingdom.
This should make for a strong "The Walking Dead" Season 7 theory, except for one thing: none of Rick's group members appears in the footage showing Alexandria, Sanctuary or The Kingdom. Well, no one who was part of the group that was captured by Negan, anyway. There may be no sign of Michonne, but there are several scenes featuring Morgan (Lennie James) and Carol (Melissa McBride).
Unfortunately, there is still no real proof that Michonne is Negan's victim. "The Walking Dead" seems determined to keep it a secret for as long as possible. So who exactly was it that was killed in the Season 6 finale? Fans will have to wait until "The Walking Dead" Season 7 airs on AMC on October 23 to find out.
