Democratic vice president incumbent Joe Bidden won last week's vice presidential debate against republican Paul Ryan, according to Xbox Live Gold Subscribers. Biden won the debate with 44.1 percent of undecided voters to Ryan's 22.9 percent with 33 percent remaining undecided.
Larry Hryb or Major Nelson of Xbox Live provided statistics from the polls that the company conducted while live-streaming the debate last week. According to Hryb, "There were well-over 800,000 individual responses to poll questions, and the level of engagement among Xbox LIVE users was extremely high, with over 30,000 responses to each of the questions posed."
One of the most interesting questions that were asked during the live-stream was about whether Xbox Live users consider a candidate's religion when deciding for whom to vote. According to the statistics 70.1 percent of Xbox Live Gold respondents do not consider a candidate's religion when voting, Hyrb reported.
Another interesting statistic is that 53.7 percent of Xbox Live Gold respondents view Biden as better prepared to step in as President compared with only 21 percent for Ryan. Hryb also revealed that more content would be coming to Xbox Live's coverage of the Election.
"We are also pleased to announce two new Election 2012 coming later this week -BBC and Comedy Central-bringing relevant content to the election process including clips from The Daily Show and The Colbert Report," Hyrb said. "These new additions join NBCNews.com, Rock the Vote, Face the Facts USA and YouGov in providing compelling content to Xbox LIVE users throughout the 2012 campaign."
Microsoft will be streaming the rest of the presidential debates including the second presidential debate on Oct. 16. Xbox Live user that watch at least three of the four debates for 30 minutes or more will receive Halo 4 Warrior Armor for their Xbox Live Avatar.
