Some "Pokemon Go" players may be relieved to discover that a new game update featured the return of the "Nearby" tracker. However, the Pokemon-searching tool may only be available for certain trainers.
The new "Pokemon Go" update also provided new warnings that cautioned players to stay safe at all times while playing the game. Aside from the Nearby tracker, the battery-saving mode was also brought back. Some of the issues that fans raised in "Pokemon Go" were also addressed by the recent fixes. Among the new add-ons, "PokemonGo"players are generally excited to receive new forms of aids that will make Pokemon-catching much easier.
Independent stated that plenty of "Pokemon Go" users previously complained how Niantic has actively been cracking down on third-party trackers and tools that helped them find Pokemon. Some said that "PokemonGo"has become a lot more difficult and less fun, because they would spend a lot of time and effort without getting rewarded with new creatures to add to their Pokedex. Niantic is currently trying to improve its in-game Nearby tracker, which simply indicates whether there are available Pokemon in the vicinity.
The Nearby tracker, however, is only available for certain "Pokemon Go" players. Niantic is currently testing a new feature, called "Sightings," which is primarily aimed at helping trainers find wild Pokemon. The developing tool is set to replace the Nearby tracker. The Sightings feature will show a list of Pokemon nearby as well as images of the Pokestops where these are close to. Users can click on a certain Pokemon, which will zoom the map out and indicate its location. Although the new "Pokemon Go"system features fewer creatures, duplicates are eliminated and updates are given more frequently.
Niantic is expected to continue making adjustments in the developing Sightings feature and will most likely announce its availability after successful testing. The new "Pokemon Go" tracking tool will be a good alternative after the game company shut down several third-party trackers that relied on its servers to give players accurate data on existing Pokemon within a given area. More updates and details on "Pokemon Go" are expected soon.
