"The Last Man on Earth" Season 3 is about to kick off as stars of the post-apocalyptic comedy TV series are now busy preparing for its production. In fact, January Jones, who plays the role of Melissa, was spotted filming some sequences in Malibu, California on Wednesday.

January Jones was seen holding a shotgun prop while sitting in a big yellow chair on location and chatting with people behind the camera. The 38-year-old star was preparing for her scene in "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3 as snapped by Just Jared.

In a different photo, January Jones gave a glimpse of her character as Melissa in "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3 on her Instagram page. "Back at work and it feels so good slash productive. #superflexible #bevhills90210 #aahndrea @lastmanfox season 3," she captioned her picture while she toook a selfie in a big mirror, while her right foot was flexed and resting on a table.
New Characters Coming In 'The Last Man On Earth' Season 3
Meanwhile, "The Last Man on Earth" creator and star Will Forte revealed that the show is set to have three new characters in Season 3. As some question the latest addition, the 46-year-old star explained that it is only natural for a TV show to have additional characters to beef up its story.
One of the new characters coming in "The Last Man on Earth" Season 3 is Mark Boone Jr. However, he was already seen in the finale of "The Last Man on Earth" Season 2 along with the men sporting a hazmat suit in the yacht and already appeared in the show as Pat.
"We all know who the second person is, and I'm very excited about that person. We don't know who the third person is, but I'm excited for you guys to see who it is," Will Forte hinted, as per Entertainment Weekly. "Last Man on Earth" Season 3 will be back on Sept. 25 on Fox.
