It's no spoiler that The Joker is in the DC Extended Universe flick "Suicide Squad". However, despite all the excitement over Jared Leto's performance in the film, the DC villain only had about 20 minutes of screen time. And that is not nearly enough Joker presence to please Leto.
What exactly happened with "Suicide Squad"? Most of the scenes featuring The Joker that were featured in the trailers were notably absent from the film. That little bit about wanting to share his toys with Ike Barinholtz's Griggs? Nope, it isn't there. So it's no surprise that Jared Leto is complaining about the last-minute changes.
Jared Leto Reacts To The Joker's Limited Screen Time In "Suicide Squad"
The world is aware that Jared Leto went through a lot of trouble to become The Joker in "Suicide Squad". Everyone knows about the Method acting and the weird presents to his castmates. So yes, it's understandable that the actor is upset that most of his scenes didn't even make it to the final cut.
Jared Leto opened up about his disappointment over the "Suicide Squad" final theatrical cut, stating that there was "a lot of experimentation on the set." Unfortunately, all the work was in vain. "There's so much that we shot that's not in the film," Leto told IGN.
How upset is Jared Leto over "Suicide Squad"? He's already thinking about his death because of the final cut. Leto believes that the missing scenes will eventually be revealed. "If I die anytime soon, it's probably likely that it'll surface somewhere," he said.
