'Pokemon Sun and Moon' Latest Updates: Leak Reveals Starters' Evolutions; No More Traditional Gyms

A recent "Pokemon Sun and Moon" leak featured the starters' final evolutions, together with new powerful Pokemon. Furthermore, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" may no longer feature traditional gyms.

GameZone reported that the latest installments of "Pokemon Sun and Moon" presented new versions of the classic creatures. There were Trial Leaders, starters that could evolve into a siren, archer or wrestler, new monsters that looked like a snowman, dolphin, sea cucumber and football monkey, special powerful Pokemon called "overlords" and a new fire/poison-type monster. The new creatures "Pokemon Sun and Moon" also featured new moves and abilities that could shift the outcome of battles.

PokeJungle previously shared that there would be no traditional gyms in "Pokemon Sun and Moon," although there are rumors that players may get to create their own gyms instead. Drawings of the three starters were detailed, together with their evolutions.

The first was a green and brown feathered creature that wielded a bow and arrow. The second appeared like a fire-type Pokemon taken after a tiger with wrestling abilities. The third appeared to be a water-type Pokemon with singing abilities. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" reportedly also includes diamonds, which work similarly to Mega Stones that can trigger Pokemon to transform. Rockruff's evolution is a werewolf, while Mashadow showcases a very unique type combo. Salandit is another new fire/poison-type Pokemon that will appear in the new game.

Kotaku revealed that some of the details in the leak were not true. Apparently, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will not include gyms, but players can try challenges called "trials." Those who accomplish trials can deal with the totem Pokemon. Each area will reportedly have its own Pokemon overlord. The diamonds are most likely the bracelet that "Pokemon Sun and Moon" players can wear to use Z-Moves.

The upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon" will have a tropical theme, although there are plenty of ice monsters coming out. Popplio boasts of a very elegant transformation. Litten transforms into a huge beast, while Rockruff hides a secret of potentially becoming a werewolf. More Pokemon are expected to surface in the following weeks. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" are set to launch on Nov. 18, 2016.
