Serious Sam 3: Before First Encounter is about to receive some more action packed mayhem via the Jewel of the Nile downloadable content pack. Serious Sam 3: Jewel Of The Nile will release for $9.99 on Oct. 16 for the PC.
According to the DLC pack's official description of Steam, "Serious Sam 3: Jewel of the Nile follows the legendary hero to the mysterious Temple of Isis on the island of Philae where a monstrous temple guardian lies in wait. Set in the midst of the events in Serious Sam 3: BFE, Sam and his team will battle through three new campaign missions against the unrelenting hordes of Mental's forces."
Serious Sam 3: Before First Encounter is a first-person shooter video game developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital. The game's plot is about takes place an alien invasion in the 22nd century. The details of this invasion were implied in previous game The First Encounter.
The invasion takes place in Egypt and the game features a 16-player co-operative campaign mode, as well as 4-player split screen. Serious Sam 3: Before First Encounter was released on Nov. 22, 2011 on Windows, and is due to be release sometime in 2012 for the Xbox Live Arcade, the game recently met Microsofts certification standards. PlayStation 3, and Linux versions of the game have not been given a release date.
The game received a aggregated score of 72 out of 100 based on 53 reviews on review aggregation web site Metacritic. Eurogamer gave the game 7-out-of-10 and said that the game was "fun, you see. Dumb fun. And on that basis, Serious Sam 3 is a definite success, its rough edges smoothed out by a charming desire to please."
