The Citadel forces were running at full speed as they burst into the desolate city's streets, but they came to a full stop when they saw the monstrous figures awaiting their arrival. The shrill screams of the Reaper forces pierced the air.
The battle to save the galaxy continues as the Reaper forces return in the largest downloadable content pack to-date for Mass Effect 3: multiplayer. It will feature the return of the Collectors including, Praetorian, Scion, Abomination, Trooper, and Captain. There will also be new Geth Drones entering the battlefield.
According to Bioware there will also be "a host of new characters have joined the war to fight this new threat, including the Turian Havoc Soldier, Turian Ghost Infiltrator, with many more being added on a regular basis."
There will also be six maps to wage war across, featuring new environmental hazards and traps. The Collectors' return also means that the enslaved race has brought their deadly weapons to the fight. "The Collector Assault Rifle, Sub-Machine Gun, and Sniper Rifle. Unlock these weapons and new equipment upgrades to build to your arsenal," according to the announcement.
The DLC contains new "Challenges" database, which tracks various in-game statistics, such as your N7 Typhoon usage. The challenges earn gamers challenge points that can be used to unlock cool in-game multiplayer bonuses.
The new DLC will be available to download on Oct. 9, and will be free to download for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. The DLC will be available on PlayStation 3 on Oct. 10 for European gamers.
